This compact historic property has been renovated to include classic Maltese details such as terrazzo floors and marble countertops while blending them with bespoke steel furniture. The studio is one of eight other apartments in a well-kept block and is on the first floor. Those with mobility issues should be aware that there’s no lift. The space is private and self-contained, thanks to apertures shielded by louvres and traditional hassira (cane blind shades) on the balcony. These can be opened to overlook this balcony and the communal courtyard, and you’ll have use of the shared fourth-floor roof terrace too which enjoys beautiful sea views. It’s the perfect spot for a cocktail at sunset. Indoors, we’ve made sure the kitchen is equipped with plenty of crockery and utensils, as well as a stove, fridge/freezer, washing machine, kettle, toaster, and microwave oven. The living area is cosy and simply furnished, with a modern settee and television, while overhead, we’ve created a perforated steel crows nest bed. We’ve chosen a great mattress, quality linens and there is also a wall-mounted fan to keep you cool in summer. There’s built-in storage for your clothes and soft lighting thanks to quirky modern lamps.
